Upcoming Titles We're Excited About – August 2015

Hellooo. Here I am, once again, bringing you the August titles we can’t wait for.
Ahh, August. It’s summertime here in the states and maybe in some other places, too. I dunno. I don’t feel like Googling to find out… You likely have fingers. You do it.

Summer’s that glorious time of year, best for cookouts, lemonade, sunbathing, and ice cream – not necessarily in that order. The season when the sultry heat and humidity give our skin that sexy, dewy glow.

Anywho, summer has now come to mean something else for me, as well. For the last few years, summer means an ILONA ANDREWS KATE DANIELS RELEASE.

I’m not even ashamed. Love me some Ilona.

Ok. Alright. Ahem. Here are all the books we’re looking forward to. =)

In addition to Magic Shifts (SQUEE), I’ve also been looking forward to Christina Henry’s Alice. Admittedly, I’m already reading the ARC, but I’m early into it.

I’m a lifelong Alice In Wonderland fangirl, so when I heard about this book, I knew I had to have it. If I wasn’t such a workaholic, I would’ve finished it by now, because what I’ve read so far has been awesome. Here, you’ll find where the author has posted a chapter one teaser. Also, because I can’t find the words to explain it, here’s the synopsis:

In a warren of crumbling buildings and desperate people called the Old City, there stands a hospital with cinderblock walls which echo the screams of the poor souls inside.
In the hospital, there is a woman. Her hair, once blond, hangs in tangles down her back. She doesn’t remember why she’s in such a terrible place. Just a tea party long ago, and long ears, and blood…
Then, one night, a fire at the hospital gives the woman a chance to escape, tumbling out of the hole that imprisoned her, leaving her free to uncover the truth about what happened to her all those years ago.
Only something else has escaped with her. Something dark. Something powerful.
And to find the truth, she will have to track this beast to the very heart of the Old City, where the rabbit waits for his Alice.

*scoff* This is totally not my O-Face or anything.

Okay, guys. There you have it. If there are any August releases you’re super-excited about and you can’t even believe we didn’t mention them, let us know in the comments.

Until September. 😉

  1. Gosh, I can’t believe I haven’t read any of the Kate Daniels books. I have the first one, but I admit a series so huge scares me. I’m REALLY excited for Alice, and for Crossed, because let’s face it – Meda’s awesome (I already read the book, but I am excited to see my friends’ opinion on it).

    • Bruh. BRUH. You’ve never read Kate Daniels? Do it! Brace yourself, though. The first book isn’t loved by all, because there’s a lot of information and world building. Stick with it, though. It will be so worth it in the end.
