Ten Memorable Quotes From Books I Read in 2015

TTT

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted at The Broke and the Bookish.
For today’s Top Ten Tuesday, the topic is, “Top Ten Quotes I Loved From Books I Read In The Past Year Or So.” As usual, I’m going to switch it up a bit and feature both memorable quotes I liked and some that I hated and/or was totally weirded out by. 😉

In no particular order, here are the quotes!

#1. Cam Girl by Leah Raeder

QUOTE TTT - 1off

Cam Girl is full of amazing quotes that will make you go, “Yep, that’s just about right.” This quote is the one that struck me the most, I guess, maybe because I can connect it to a few personal experiences. We do need to make an effort to have closure. It won’t just show up on your doorstep.

#2. Tonight the Streets Are Ours by Leila Sales

QUOTE TTT - 2

Okay, so, I pretty much hated this book, but I have to admit that the quotes here are totally quotable and relatable! The one I chose is another, “Yep, so true,” quote. I guess you can hurt people intentionally, but most of the time it just comes as a product of something stupid we did.

#3. Awake by Natasha Preston

QUOTE TTT - 3

WELL THEN. I never knew that there were schools that banned gorgeous people. That’s something new, eh? (Also, please note that this quote is taken from FREAKING PAGE ONE.)

#4. The Accident Season by Moïra Fowley-Doyle

QUOTE TTT - 4

This book is so eerie and scary and creepy and I mean LOOK AT THAT QUOTE. All you accident-prone people are probably thinking, That’s so true! But this quote is much more than that, and it’s giving me the chills just reading it. I’m not even exaggerating right now.

#5. Hello, I Love You by Katie M. Stout

QUOTE TTT - 5

I CAN’T REALLY SEE WHY YOU’RE SUCH AN IGNORANT BITCH!!! *coughs* Anyway, this book is just FULL of cringe-worthy quotes. There was one about Filipinos and Asians that irked me a lot more, but I’m too lazy to find the actual quote right now. This one still speaks volumes about the heroine, no?

#6. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

QUOTE TTT - 6

Um, yes. This quote, guys. This quote. It’s got you hooked–am I right or am I right?

#7. Delicate Monsters by Stephanie Kuehn

QUOTE TTT - 7

This is another quirky book with beautifully eerie quotes like this one! And I totally empathized with this quote, too. I always feel like there’s something disrupting my peace or whatever.

#8. The Weight of Feathers by Anna-Marie McLemore

QUOTE TTT - 8

This book has ALL the beautiful quotes! Especially in the chapter headings! I pretty much bookmarked all of them. Heh. Just omg guys, READ THIS BOOK ASAP and highlight all the quotes and die of feels kthnxbye.

#9. What You Left Behind by Jessica Verdi

QUOTE TTT - 9

This quote has me screaming YES! especially during times when I’m so busy and don’t have time for myself anymore. I don’t feel this all the time, thankfully, but there are those days where I’m like, WHY!? So this quote definitely stuck with me.

#10. Made You Up by Francesca Zappia

QUOTE TTT - 10

YES, WE DO. We all have moments where we just take all these little moments for granted, when other people are having shittier times than we are. Let’s all TRY to appreciate every moment we have, yes?

And there you have it! Thoughts?

    My TTT.

  2. Six of Crows is without a doubt one of my favourite books of 2015. There are so many quotable moments in the book. The Weight of Feathers is a book that has been on my radar for a while now and I hope I get the chance to read it soon.

  3. Yeah, I do think I need to read Six of Crows now. And oh those one quotes made me cringe. Ick!
