Ten Books I Got With My Grabby Hands

Welcome to our first ever Top Ten Tuesday post on The Book Geek! Today I’m sharing the ten latest books I’ve added to my physical shelves (in order of when I got them). Clicking on the photos will take you to my bookish Instagram account, while clicking on the book title will lead you to the book’s Goodreads page. 🙂

#1. Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen

This absolutely gorgeous book was sent to me by the lovely St. Martin’s Press! I was pretty ecstatic when they emailed to let me know they were sending this over, even if I rarely read adult, because, hello, it’s a Peter Pan retelling in Hook’s POV!

#2. Hello, I Love You by Katie M. Stout

This one was also sent to me by St. Martin’s Press–I already read and reviewed it here. 🙂 I may not have liked it, but it is SO gorgeous and I’m so stoked to have my own copy!

#3. We Will Be Crashing Shortly by Hollis Gillespie
#4. Crossing Into Brooklyn by Mary Ann McGuigan

These two were sent to my by Merit Press–thank you! I haven’t heard of either of them yet, but they both sound really unique. I’m particularly interested in We Will Be Crashing Shortly, which is about a student pilot!

#5. Succubus on Top by Richelle Mead
#6. The Bite Before Christmas by Lynsay Sands & Jeaniene Frost

I am a huge Richelle Mead fan, and I’ve been wanting to try her adult Georgina Kincaid series for forever! So when I saw that the second book in the series, Succubus on Top, was on sale, I got it. Now, The Bite Before Christmas is actually a bind-up of two short stories, and I’m pretty much only going to read Jeaniene Frost’s half of it because I haven’t read anything by Lyndsay Sands… yet. Anyway I got both books for about $1 each!

#7. The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen

I asked on Twitter if I should by The Queen of the Tearling, and some awesome person said yes, so… I bought it. Heh.

#8. Rook by Sharon Cameron
#9. Shadow Scale by Rachel Hartman

I’ve been wanting to buy Rook for ages, so I decided to finally pick it up. Go me! I loved Seraphina, so when I finally spotted a hardcover for Shadow Scale, I had to get it.

#10. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

My awesome friend Shannelle lent me this awesome *signed* ARC. I totally can’t wait to read it! I’ve heard amazing things.

  1. Alias Hook sounds interesting! I’ve been wanting to read Rook too for a while now, though I still haven’t got the chance xD Six of Crows seems awesome too! Happy reading, Aimee 🙂

  2. Six of Crows… da jealousy. +__+

  3. We Will Be Crashing Shortly looks good. The Six of Crows has been on quite a few lists, I love the cover 🙂My TTT
